Lawyer AAbraham Amaliba
The National Director of the Legal Team of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Lawyer Abraham Amaliba has applauded management and staff of A1 Radio for their efforts in delivering compelling content in their programming that can compete the southern radio stations in Ghana.
According to the Lawyer Amaliba, A1 Radio has demonstrated its commitment to serving the people of the Upper East Region and beyond.
He said, “Credit should always be given to those who deserved it, and I must say that A1 Radio has merited such from me. Despite the Radio being in the Upper East Region, it is matching those in the Southern sector in terms of content, and constantly updating its readers with current affairs both in and out of the region.”
He spoke on the holidays edition A1 Radio’s flagship programme, ‘DayBreak Upper East hosted by Gifty Amoshie on Tuesday 31st December 2019.
The Lawyer, however, expressed the view organizers of various awards for Journalists and media personalities in the country including the Radio and Television Personality Awards have centered on media personalities in the Southern sector leaving the hardworking ones in the Upper East and West Regions.
He said, “How can you say you are organizing awards for all journalists in the country and you end up boxing Journalists from the five Savannah Regions together and call it Northern Region award? It doesn’t make sense, and I think it is time organizers of such awards began to look into it.”
In spite of his observation, Mr. Amaliba cautioned journalists in the five Savannah Regions of the North not to be moved by awards, rather, continue to work hard as their hard works have contributed to the peace and security for the country.
